Defending A Cause

DEFENDING A CAUSE
It is so amazing seeing people defending what they believe in. And the kind of honor and joy you feel when people defend you is unexplainable. Though, people don't usually get to see that they are being defended. But seeing one is one of the memories you don't want to forfeit. Also, the one who defends would wish the one being defended knows. Well, that's also not all the time especially when you're not doing it to gain favor.

THE ONE THAT DEFENDS
Defending may not be an easy task for the one that defends. Most especially when the one being defended is not so open to the one who defends. The act of defending others is not a matter of joke since it will definitely rub on you, too.

So, my quick and sincere advice for you is that before you defend, try to refresh. Don't defend who you don't know like the palm of your hand. It may later give you a slap. Don't defend what you know nothing about, you will only be left feeling stupid. And, if you see an opportunity to defend people on just cause, you can give it a try.

THE ONE BEING DEFENDED
For people to be able to defend you, you have to be as transparent as possible with them. People want to be defended but are not ready to pay the price of being defended. Thus my questions for you: Do people trust you enough to defend you? Won't people think twice before defending you? Can people vouch for you even with their life? What a great gift of humanity to have someone defend you.

SURE DEFENDANT
I know of a defender who is ready to defend your cause at any time. His name is Jesus Christ. He defended you when you were nothing to write home about. The Bible says: But God commends his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8.
Therefore, you don't have to worry about a thing. I know there must have been times, you wish someone defends you. Or maybe you're going through some kind of situation and you crave someone to defend you. Don't worry too much. Jesus got you covered.

It may look like you're alone, but you're not. Don't forget, Jesus is our advocate. 1John2:1. He won't leave you alone to defend yourself. You're both in it together. So, trust Him and hold unto Him tightly. He's always with you. God bless you.
